TLDR - The foundational recommendations are how you get to the source of your health problems. CIRS protocols can also remove symptoms, but the process will be slow and painful if you’re not following the foundations.

CIRS means your are extremely out of homeostasis and this is why there are so many different symptoms. You likely have many disrupted biological processes and your genes have significant changes in expression. You need to get to the foundations of health to begin healing. Assure your body has enough energy for biological processes, make sure your biological processes are occurring at the right times, remove anything that could be triggering a danger response, and support your body’s natural healing ability.
Think of health as a tree. The roots represent the foundation of your health, and the branches and leaves symbolize various aspects of well being. If you nourish and support the roots, the entire tree flourishes and grows healthy. If the foundation is neglected, issues arise higher up in the tree. You can still address each problematic branch or leaf individually, but it's more effective to focus on strengthening the roots. This way you support the whole tree, ensuring overall health rather than just treating specific symptoms.
When you have CIRS, you have many dying branches and leaves. The Shoemaker protocol is a way someone found to help support some of those individual leaves. If we support the foundation then the leaves heal themselves. We can then use the Shoemaker protocol to help speed the process if needed.
